On holiday so had to follow the match on here. Some interesting talk!

Saw Sakho went down early on in the game. Injured or was he OK?

Re: Norwich away
Terry, preseason games are never very meaningful, but we've always under-achieved in cup games against minnows.

For a lot of tiny clubs, playing teams like West Ham is for them like an FA Cup final and Champions League final combined. Just getting a nil-all draw would be a big result for them.

They're much, much more up for it than we are.

Norwich last night were not what we can expect in the PL though, were they? Mostly reserve players in a team just up from the Chumpionship. And we only scraped through by way of a deflected goal from a 16 year old.

Considering you was an 'angel' I would say that you have pretty much never been right about anything.

Re: Birkirkara v West Ham - Official Match Thread (WHU win 5-3 pens)
I said right from the beginning that the expectation level for these games was absurd. Cup games against weak opposition are almost always a lot tougher than they should be, but people seem to forget that.

We'll play very differently against Premier League teams.

Just got back. Great to see Noble back to his very best. He's going to flourish this season and I'm willing to bet a five pound note that he'll get a call up for England by the end of the season.

And as for that Payet.....

Really looking forward to this next few years. I've waited long enough, and for the first time have real optimism that we can challenge for honours.

"Willtell,
Did I say I had kids, the same time I said I was gay? I forget."

No. A year or so ago you said on here that you were gay. Now you are saying you have a wife and kids. I'm just confused that's all. See I think you're not a real poster. Funny really but I think you're an alter ego for Trevor B/hammer74/PLW/celtichammer/etc and just forgot your MO...

Could we utilise this WHO charity thing to get Rodfarts the help he so clearly needs?
